Sarah Kirby

‘Woodland Fables’

Colourful contemporary furniture with a nod to the materials often associated with Art Deco design, combining traditional woodworking skills with modern technology and colourways. Inspired by woodland and the creatures that survive within the environment of the material we use to furnish our homes. The natural patterning of walnut is used to decorate and adorn the room that it is set within, nestled amongst patterning found within the markings found on the feathers of owls, pheasants and other woodland textures.

Using traditional methods of screen printing concealed within a highly protective lacquer, these decorative surfaces can be enjoyed for many years to come. Designed with the style conscious mum in mind, these products aim to help make day to day living more enjoyable. With a large hinged upholstered velvet lid, concealed storage for toys or blankets and space for suspension files to stow away the household paper trail; Otto is designed to stand alone within the
lounge, office or bedroom.

Screen printed furniture is a niche product that is not widely available on the market.  Combining a high level of skill both within drawing, colours mixing and cabinet making, Sarah creates bespoke products made from only the finest of materials that are built to last.
